This year, the Purmundus Challenge, an international competition for innovative ideas in design, which is already being held for the sixth time, will be addressing this question. Under this year's theme, “Preparing for the Future with 3D Printing”, the 2018 contest will once again seek to recognize solutions that address some of the challenges of our modern world with the help of additive manufacturing. On the one hand, it is about what is technically feasible today, on the other hand, it is about intelligent, forward-looking solutions. The best ideas will be presented at formnext 2018 in a special showcase.
Formnext will show from around the world the potential that arises for product development and the entire manufacturing process when tool making and additive technologies are combined.
